Stroud Company was founded by Nancy Stroud — a consultant who didn't come up through a big firm or an MBA program. She came up through the work itself.

Nancy started in bookkeeping, hired because she had a knack for computers at a time when that combination was rare. That led to software development, where she helped build ERP and law enforcement systems from scratch.
Later, a pivot back to accounting roots led to a decade as a controller — owning the full accounting cycle: accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, and reporting directly to executive leadership. She implemented Sage ERP, managed year-end and quarterly audits, handled EXIM import/export reporting, and took on logistics operations as the business grew.
Most recently, Nancy began working part-time for an artist client — and found a niche she hadn't expected: creative businesses and new ventures are chronically underserved when it comes to honest, practical financial guidance. Too many tools sold. Too little real setup. Too much complexity where simplicity would serve better.
Stroud Company exists to fix that — for small businesses, new ventures, artists, and anyone who needs a real partner, not a big consulting bill.
