About Stroud Company
Built from the ground up.
Just like the businesses we serve.
Stroud Company grew from more than 30 years of hands-on work in bookkeeping, accounting, software, and business operations. We bring that experience to small businesses that want reliable books and practical guidance.

Meet Nancy
My career began in bookkeeping, but my interest in computers soon opened the door to software development. I went on to help develop ERP and law enforcement systems from the ground up. That combination gave me an understanding of both the financial side of a business and the systems that support it.
I later returned to accounting and spent a decade as a controller, overseeing the full accounting cycle, including reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and management reporting. During that time, I also implemented Sage and Acumatica ERP systems, supported quarterly and year-end audits, managed import/export reporting, and took on logistics responsibilities.
Working with an artist client brought another side of business into focus: creative work has real operational and financial demands. Materials, production, inventory, vendor payments, and pricing all matter, even when a business is small. The right bookkeeping should support the work, not make it harder.
I started Stroud Company because I believe small businesses deserve the same level of accounting experience and attention that larger companies have access to, without needing a full-time accounting department. My goal is to provide reliable bookkeeping, clear answers, and financial information that business owners can actually use.
What makes Stroud different
More than numbers on a report.
Accounting Meets Operations
From month-end reconciliations to inventory, manufacturing, import/export, and ERP systems, we understand how the work behind the numbers affects the financial picture.
Clear, Practical Guidance
We explain what needs attention, why it matters, and what makes sense for your business and budget. No unnecessary complexity or systems you aren't ready to use.
Experience With Creative Businesses
We work with the realities of art and product businesses: production expenses, materials, inventory, vendor payments, pricing, and the day-to-day details behind the creative work.
The team
Small by design. Experienced where it counts.
A consistent team that gets to know your business and keeps the details moving.
